Makler & Baker LLP specializes in representing consumers in lemon law and consumer fraud cases throughout California. Makler and Terry L. Baker.

Makler & Baker LLP is not a lemon law mill with out of state offices. We are a small California law firm which gives the individual care and attention our clients need and deserve. We handle cases throughout the Golden State with centrally located offices in San Jose and Santa Barbara. And, we always offer a free consultation.

All of our lemon law and consumer fraud cases are handled on a contingency basis because California's lemon law and consumer fraud statutes provide that the successful consumer is entitled to an award of attorney's fees and costs. Makler & Baker LLP does not require an up front retainer because the majority of our fees and costs will be paid by the defendants at the successful conclusion of your case.

Julianna Robesky Makler graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1993 and received her law degree in 1996 from McGeorge School of Law and Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M) degree in 1999. She was admitted to practice law in California in 1997. She is a former Deputy Public Defender for Santa Cruz County.

Ms. Makler specializes in lemon law, consumer fraud litigation, and debt collection and fair crediting reporting cases. She has successfully litigated hundreds of cases on behalf of California consumers and has co-authored some of the firm's winning appellate briefs. She is a referral attorney for the National Center for Auto Safety in Washington, D.C. and a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Terry L. Baker graduated from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana in 1993. He recieved his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1997. Mr. Baker was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1998 and admitted to practice in California in July 2001. Mr. Baker has practiced consumer law exclusively since his admission to the Ohio Bar in 1998.

Mr. Baker primarily practices in the areas of lemon law and auto dealership fraud litigation. He has gained extensive trial experience while practicing consumer law and obtained verdicts in favor of consumers against BMW, Chrysler, and numerous car dealerships in both Ohio and California. Mr. Baker is a referral attorney for the National Center for Auto Safety and member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and Consumer Attorneys of California.
